What is Life? With Martina
What Is Life? is basically me talking about all the stuff we're supposed to keep quiet about — the messy emotions, the fuck-ups, the "am I the only one feeling this?" moments. I'm Martina. I feel like I've lived 330 lives in my 33 years of life, I've moved like 47 times in 6 different countries, I have a golden retriever named Buchta, and I co-built a multi-million dollar couples bracelets business with my boyfriend while simultaneously wondering if we were gonna break up every other week. Plot twist: I created this podcast to be MINE. My solo thing. My space. Episode 1? Just me, finally. Episode 2? Tomash, my boyfriend, crashes it. Every episode since? He won't freaking leave! The guy who literally said "I don't do podcasts, do it alone“ is now here. Every. Single. Time. And the universe is laughing because I wanted this for YEARS — us, together, talking. But it only happened when I stopped white-knuckling the dream and let that shit go. That's LIFE: giving you exactly what you want the second you stop being a control freak about it. I started this because I couldn't stop asking "what is life?" after my third breakdown, second country, and approximately 86 moments of thinking "there's something fundamentally broken in me." There wasn't. I was just a human being having a human experience, which apparently includes: moving to different country every few years, dating the wrong people for the right reasons, building a business while having daily meltdowns, and learning that nothing you plan actually happens the way you plan it. This podcast is chaos. Sometimes solo. Sometimes Tomash interrupts with his completely different memory of the same event (we literally live in 2 different relationships, I swear). Sometimes our golden retriever Buchta snores so loud you'll think your audio is broken.
We record on balconies in Vietnam. We disagree mid-episode. We forget what we were talking about. I overshare like it's my job (it kind of is now). No Instagram highlight reel. No "5 steps to fix your life." Just two people figuring it out in real-time and saying it out loud. If you've ever felt too much, moved too fast, fucked up too hard, or wondered if everyone else got a manual you didn't — welcome home.
Grab a coffee. Buckle up. It's messy… It’s LIFE.

Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Welcome to the episode where we go from "let's find a product to sell" to accidentally creating a multi-million dollar business in 17 days. (Or was it 9? We can't agree. Classic us. 😂) This is Part 3 of our completely unfiltered love story, recorded from our garden in Vietnam with our golden retriever Buchta making guest appearances (you'll hear her snoring, we promise).
QUICK RECAP:
Part 1: Met in high school 2009, dated for ONE WEEK, didn't speak for 12 YEARS
Part 2: Reconnected in 2020, spent 9 days talking nonstop, went to Croatia, moved in together after 3 weeks
NOW IN PART 3:
We're building a business. Together. After dating for less than a month. Because apparently we don't do anything the normal way.

✨ Our $2,500 Investment - We each put in $2,500 and went 50/50 (our entire initial investment)
✨ The First Order Sound - September 12th, 2020 (or 21st? different memories again) - someone bought WITHOUT us even promoting yet
✨ Month 1: Break even. Month 2: $300 profit. Month 3: $10,000 - How it grew faster than we could process

ABOUT US:
I'm Martina (33, ADHD podcaster who goes on tangents and says "bye" then starts new topics 😂). He's Tomash (35, wants structure and 3 bullet points to remember what to talk about). We're the couple behind Magnetic Couples Bracelets . We live in Vietnam. We've been together 24/7 for 6 years. We built a business together after dating for less than a month. We have completely different memories of the same events. English is our second language. Tomash is learning to open up on camera. Buchta, our golden retriever, is our co-host (she snores through episodes).
NEXT EPISODE:
Part 4 - The part we don't usually talk about: My mental health crisis, crying 5 times a day, and what was really happening behind the scenes while our business was thriving. (Spoiler: Success on the outside doesn't mean everything is perfect on the inside)

SPEAKER_02I thought proper kiss.
SPEAKER_00No, I don't care about that anymore.
SPEAKER_02Because you accepted I don't give you proper kisses sometimes. Hi guys. Hello. Today we added video as an extra playful bonus.
SPEAKER_00It's amazing.
SPEAKER_02But it is anything.
SPEAKER_00It is hot.
SPEAKER_02It is hot, but it's yeah, it's nice.
SPEAKER_00But it's amazing.
SPEAKER_02If I was in a pool, next time we can record in the pool.
SPEAKER_00No, because I don't go to the pool.
SPEAKER_02Oh fuck, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Fuck shit.
SPEAKER_02Fuck shit. Welcome to another episode of the podcast What is Life? with Martina and the person who didn't want to be part of it, so I made it alone. And now he's part of it. But not forever. I will have episodes alone.
SPEAKER_00I don't really believe I said I don't want to be part of it.
SPEAKER_02You said it's my thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_02And to do create it as my name and that's true.
SPEAKER_00But I never said I don't want to be part of it.
SPEAKER_02Oh, you're just keeping it in a pocket too.
SPEAKER_00No, but I I think it is still your thing, and I think it is still I think it's still good that you create it by your name because you are like it's your thing. It is your thing. But it doesn't mean I cannot be part of it, you know?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So like you created it, like you taking care of it, you like you are cutting it, like you are creating time to record. Yes. You know, like it's all yours.
SPEAKER_02Can we record today? Can we record today?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. But it's like I feel like I'm like a uh how do you like I'm a guest, you know?
SPEAKER_02You are a guest.
SPEAKER_00Because it is your thing.
SPEAKER_02It is my thing.
SPEAKER_00You know, I can still be part of it.
SPEAKER_02Of course, you're part of everything.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02When it comes to me.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Twin seas. Like yin and yang.
SPEAKER_00But not everything, Camo. Like there's so many things that we have the same, like so many things. Like we like to be in warm weather, we like these jungly vibes. Yeah. You know, we like to go to the ocean.
SPEAKER_02I guess the main shit.
SPEAKER_00We like that little creature. Yeah, puppy. So yeah, I I don't think it's everything. But obviously, like when we look at some experience, like we experience it differently, like that makes sense.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but I think the main things that keep us together, we have the same, like the main foundation, and then the things on the top, the sprinkles, are all different colors so that we can interact together and like evolve as a couple, not like strangers with other people.
SPEAKER_00Like I think that most of our resistance is coming from this relationship.
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00So and money. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Business. Like that's exactly by the way, where we ended yesterday. Oh in the previous episode.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So let's start another one.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And now there will be music.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So yeah, so we wanna start like so we're like we finished in and the part where we moved in together, right? We moved in together. And we started like working on a business basically every day.
SPEAKER_02We decided we're going to create an online store.
SPEAKER_00We decided before we moved and then we moved in because we already started work on it and we needed the space where to like be together and work together and just live, you know? Yes, yes. So yes.
SPEAKER_02And then we moved together in the apartment that was like perfect location, perfect everything, exactly what we needed, completely enough. And we decided to look for a product to sell.
SPEAKER_00Yes.
SPEAKER_02And now we're going to say that we didn't create magnetic couples bracelets from scratch, basically.
SPEAKER_00We did create magnetic couples bracelets for scratch from scratch.
SPEAKER_02Okay, tell me how you see this because I have a completely different story in my mind. So And sometimes I'm ashamed of it. So please.
SPEAKER_00So Magnetic Couples bracelets is a brand that we created from scratch. I I don't know like what like what model.
SPEAKER_02So I don't know why. In my head, I always felt ashamed of the fact that we didn't literally create the rope and the magnet and the idea ourselves. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Okay, it doesn't matter actually, but um yeah, the product obviously, like we didn't create the product, but we're not. It's not obvious.
SPEAKER_02I think people feel maybe I'm projecting, but I think our customers think we did. It looks like it's our idea and it's like the perfect thing.
SPEAKER_00But it is our idea, like the whole thing is our idea. Like it's like, look, like, do you need to create sneakers in order to be Michael Jordan and have a Jordan brand of sneakers? No, exactly. But it's his brand. He created like create it's been created around him, it's his brand, basically, right? Even though it's made by Nikes or whatever, but he didn't invent it the Snickers, so it's like we didn't invent bracelets. But like with a magnet for couples, but we created magnetic couples bracelets, like that's our brand. That's something that we created. Like there is I don't think there is another store that would be made around magnetic couples bracelets or around bracelets that connect with the magnet, right?
SPEAKER_02But let's go back to the beginning. So um we decided that we're gonna open an online store and now we needed product to sell.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_02Because you told me that the best way to do it and the easiest way to start is to find some product, create like a drop shipping method that is basically when you have a product and a person.
SPEAKER_00That was an idea at that point. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that's how we started. So there's a factory or supplier who creates that product, you connect with them, and then you just feed them, you create a website where you put that product, all the information, whatever. This was like a huge boom in 2020, I guess maybe also before. I'm not sure. I didn't know that.
SPEAKER_00Much, much more before.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so you don't know these things. I'm just a storyteller, obviously. And so um, and then you create a store where all the people come, orders come, and you communicate with the supplier, you send them uh information about the customers who bought it, and then they ship it straight to the customer without the need to have a storage unit somewhere, or you it doesn't need to go through, right? So that's the easy way how to store it, and that's what we chose. So we started to look for different products. There are websites that you can do it on where they show different kinds of products, and you pick the one that fits your preferences or that you feel aligned with, or like you feel like okay, this could work. So we started it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but this whole this is what you described, is basically the dropshipping part where you don't really care about the products, you just like choose, let's say, things that people use, let's say, like um in a in a bathroom, let's say uh uh um like for a hair, how we call it? Like something that we that we'll sell, yeah, yeah, like like hairbrush, and then you have like the hair clips and you have like cleaner, yeah, or like things like this. And these are like we almost chose to sell, not not even almost, not even close. I it was it was there, but I did not like it. Like I liked it as a as it was a good like idea on a paper, but I did not like it. So um anyway, so this is like more like in a way that you just have like many products and you just it doesn't it's not branded, it's not personal, it's not emotional, it's like transactional, it's just like it's the things that people use on a daily basis, and you can buy them in in a in a in a grocery in big grocery stores in like Walmart or whatever, you know, or like things like that. Like that's what you can put there. And but like what we did is that we created a brand. So we we didn't with like I'm trying to get there, baby.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the thing is we started to make Excel sheet with different products, and we did it with like this. So there's I think two ways you can approach anything from your mind or from your heart, or like this kind of intuitive guidance or something, not in a spiritual way, it's just a different feeling of or different strategy how to approach something, how it looks or how it could work with your mind information from the past, it's a really limited way, okay, because like you don't have all the information, the mind can't have all the information in the world, only what you experience, and then based on how it feels, okay, and that's some kind of inner knowing, your awareness is like speaking through if you let it, whatever. Yeah, so these are two ways, and I think we try to do it first in this mind approach with the Excel sheets and what could work, and then what happened is and I would like to well, I would like for you to explain because you call it like opona. How it's called in English? In English, it would be curtain opened on a stage, let's say theater stage, you know, the curtain, something like drops, some like yeah, some very those are the bikes from other episodes, by the way. There's a little road here. And this is what happened for you when you actually found magnet um these bracelets that weren't called yet magnetic couples bracelets, it was just bracelets connecting with magnets, simple thing. You found it. And what happened? You found it on this website with all kinds of products that people can choose to sell.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And what happened when you when you saw the bracelet?
SPEAKER_00Well, I knew that that's the good product. Or what do you mean? I I I'm sorry, I I don't follow that. No, because you always say like say your part, then I then I can say mine.
SPEAKER_02Because I'm trying to like give you space, you know, that you say how you had it. But I will say how I had it, and then you can maybe like go of that.
SPEAKER_00So for me, look, I uh so I'm gonna I'm gonna say like what like what you say mind based and like this. Like I don't know, like I for me, like I was not like aware of these things before. I was not like doing it in this way that I would know okay, I'm gonna do it based on this, or I'm gonna do it based on this. I was just doing it, you know. I was not really thinking about it or analyzing it, like why or how. And yes, basically how it started is that I was looking for certain product to meet certain criteria, and um and also one of the criterion that was really important for me was that I wanted you to be able to do content around it with ease. And none of the products that we found before like had this. And then when I saw these magnetic couples bracelets, then like I immediately knew that that's good product because it was not only meeting all the criteria, but also like it met the most important one for me, which was that you will be able to do the content around it with ease. So that's why I knew that this is it, and yes, it kind of felt like the curtain opened because like every other product that I was looking at, like I felt like this is not really it, but this one I felt like this is it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and that was some kind of inner knowing, you could say, or just some kind of like I guess. Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Obviously, I didn't know it back then, but now after like six years of all the evolution we went through, now I understand there are two ways how you can approach things. That's why I said that. So, yeah, and that's when you told me I have it. I remember it like yesterday. You said, baby, I have the product, like this is it, and that's when I think everything just started. I remember it, and then I was like, Oh my god, I love it. And then you literally said, Baby, we can go anywhere in the world and we can still create together content, and it's just part of life, it can be part of our life. It literally is like part of us, yeah, you know? Yeah, and then immediately I got the idea of dude, this is exactly what describes our story. We, and if you didn't listen to other episodes, go back to the first one where we say how we met in 2009, and then 12 years we didn't speak, and then we met again in 2020 because literally I just saw the magnets and this connection with everything we have experienced, our story, our love story, and two of us, what we went through, it was automatically flowing out of me like a vomit. And I was like, these magnets literally represent our story. So maybe that shame that sometimes I feel towards that it was like this and that opposite is that I think sometimes it can feel, or our story kind of says that you know we met and then we created Magnetic Couples bracelets, and it was exactly describing our story. But actually, which is true, it is true, it all is a matter of a perspective, but then also like the bracelets came first, and then I realized, dude, and I covered it in our story, and I was like, that's a perfect match, you know? Yeah, so I just knew exactly what to do with it, how to speak about it, like all my creativity was like you popped the you popped the how it's called, not the Niki.
SPEAKER_01The bubble.
SPEAKER_02No, the zit. You popped the zit, yeah, back. You popped the zit out of me with these bracelets, and I'm like and we made website. Oh yeah, okay, so now the fun part starts. Which is how long did it take us? You don't remember. Okay. So I remember.
SPEAKER_00From the day we I don't even know question, but you know that I don't remember.
SPEAKER_02I thought you see in my head. So, as I always do. So from the moment we found the bracelets, or you found the bracelets to the moment we had first order, it was 17 days.
SPEAKER_00Are you sure?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02No, here we go. Nine.
SPEAKER_00No, that's not possible.
SPEAKER_02Okay, it was somewhere between nine and seventeen. Dude, it was eleven.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00I don't I don't think so. I think it was more but no, no, no, no.
SPEAKER_02So it took us like just over less than two weeks. It was less than two weeks from the moment we found it. It was like a oh my god, it was like all the powers connected. My um skill in content, copywriting, idea making, conceptualizing, storytelling first, and your technical background, understanding of how to make websites, how to do Shopify, all the courses you have ever studied, all the knowledge that you had connected. Exactly yin and yang. And it was so beautiful because it was like the magnet itself. And it was 50% you, 50% me. Yeah, and it created 100%. That's exactly the power of magnetic couples bracelets. That when two masculine and feminine forces connect, they create new life, they create harmony and they create this foundation you can build on, and that's exactly what fucking happened. I fucking love it. Yeah, I'm really passionate about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I I I don't I don't know if it if it's if if I see it as a masculine and feminine, but for sure I see it as that like when I was doing when I was trying to do business before online business and I was selling things on Amazon. I know that it was really hard for me to do anything that was visual or like copywriting-based. Even the copywriting was like easier for me, even though it still took a lot of time to do it, but I I could do it, but it just took me a lot of time. But the the visual parts that like was really not my piece of bread because since I don't use social media since like ever basically, and I don't like I never like adjusted any picture, or like I just don't do anything with the videos. I you know, I don't even take them basically. So I I was never into these things, so it was always hard for me to to do anything like that. So it was perfect match that we literally like, and also you were exactly opposite that you like to do those things, but it's hard for you to do anything that is like technical and just background and things like that. And also it's I really like to like create systems and yeah, so it's it's it's I think it's it's perfect. It was perfect match for us to do this together. Like we had basically everything we need to to just start it.
SPEAKER_02Yes, exactly. And fun fact, we both had online stores in the past, but they both not failed, they just didn't make it.
SPEAKER_00They didn't succeed, they were not successful as this one.
SPEAKER_02But they were successful in a way that we understood that that's not the way. For me, I created a martini actually store with my best friend Martina, and actually at that point it was 2016 at the breakup, and I wanted to put my energy somewhere, and I started to focus on this. And I started an online store with handmade products from Europe, like uh swimwear from Milan, Italy, earrings from Slovakia, handmade earrings, and handmade bags from men from leather from Sweden, and it was like all craft, and I wanted to bring it to Dubai because people there value this kind of one, like this original products, they want to be different, you know, because everybody can have everything. So, how do you with all those money they have there? So, how do you become special when you have something nobody else does? So I love the idea, and I made the online store with her, and you know what's funny? She was doing the visuals. I I I didn't know how to use Photoshop, I didn't know how to make logo and all of these pictures. I actually had a photographer and a model and everything. I was yet not yet fluent in this, and that's when I realized, oh my god, I actually need to learn to how to do this. I was doing the back end, which was not perfect obviously, but I did it somehow from how to YouTube videos. And then also she was doing this part, but then it just didn't work out because of simple things, but it was very nice, like a practice era for me, practice ground, and that's when I started after that to do YouTube, and then I actually landed the the internship in uh creative agency where I learned everything that one and a half year ago I was like, I want to learn it. So it all went there, you know, where I needed it. So that that prepares me. I speak about it in my first episode, so that all that what I learned, I didn't continue working there and I was making very little money compared to like a real job, but I decided to invest in myself, like be a little bit like you know, live on a budget, but learn the skill I will later use. And I didn't know at that point, but I was learning the skill to use with you in this business, so I knew exactly how to do everything. And within nine or twelve or whatever days, there was a website on a Shopify, an online store, there was ads that we created, there was social media and everything you need to start selling. And the fun fact is the first order we received on September 12th, 2020. And we just started dating in July 10th. So two months later, we had first order.
SPEAKER_00Someone bought I think it was actually September 21st.
SPEAKER_02September 12th, I have it. Okay, doesn't matter. And so that person bought it without us even making it live or sharing about it yet.
SPEAKER_00It was live on Google.
SPEAKER_02It was live on Google, okay. And it was crazy because we first time heard the sound. You know, on Shopify.
SPEAKER_00I don't actually remember that moment.
SPEAKER_02I do.
SPEAKER_00And so um I I I remember that we woke up and there was order or something like that.
SPEAKER_02Uh-huh. Okay. Yeah, because like 60% of our audience and customers is based in the US. So that actually is possible. I don't know. Whatever. The main important thing is that it started working from day zero.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02We were actually also, it's important to say you had your last money. I don't know if you want to say there. You put 2500 euro. I put 2500 euro. That was our initial investment into this business. And if you think about it, it's not a lot of money, right? It was just to cover the initial things like website and we went 50-50, very simple. Very like, we're like, okay, let's see. And we saw. Dude, we saw. And within the first month, we were in break-even.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Second month, we made like $300.
SPEAKER_00Not like not more?
SPEAKER_02I think like $300.
SPEAKER_00I think like $3,000, no?
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02And then the third month, it was $10,000.
SPEAKER_00Because it was already November, right? That's also and there was a Black Friday, and and then there was a Christmas, and it all helped us a lot.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it was just perfect. And you know what? I would like to pause here and kind of speak about how things happen when you kind of least expect it, when you have fun and you enjoy what you're doing, instead of pushing and forcing something to happen, you know, because you really need it. And how everything combines together from finding the supplier, finding the product, matching it with your story, our skills, you know, the timing, everything. A line so that you create that. If it's really for you, it will not miss it. You will not miss it. It will you it will not miss you. And it will happen no matter what you do. You don't even have to try. And this is, I think, big lesson of these six years.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I I guess when I look back at it, it was really, really easy to create this whole thing. At least for me. Like I know that you had some hard time at this time, but like for me it was really easy. Like when I compare it with the things that I was doing before, I want to mention that like you were preparing in the agency or whatever you were doing in Dubai, you know, for to create this. So I was also preparing. I was living at Prague at the time, and about it was about the year 2000, I guess, 15, when I started to like learn about how to make money online. And at that or 2014, maybe. And at the time it was really not easy because there were not millions of videos like there are now. But at the time there was not so many things, and like I I found some online course on how to sell on Amazon, and that's how I started, and that was my first thing that I started to do. And then I was like studying so many things, uh, and even before, because I I also like was in university studying um business management, so like that's where my base was, and but then it all went to online business and marketing and just like many like different business models then on how you can make money online and things, but it was always from the part of just yeah, like being the manager of the business, like being the owner. It was never from the part of like like you had from the part of creating visuals and and copies and things like that.
SPEAKER_02But I also studied business, how to have your own company. But you said that you don't know anything from I don't know anything from any school, I forget all of it.
SPEAKER_00So yeah, so this is like I like I was basically like into all of those things for five years. Like I was really going through courses and and and also like I had the same period like you said that you were making little money, but you were investing in yourself. So like I was doing this for five years basically. Like I was um for those five years, I was always having some jobs just to survive, and like literally like some jobs just to make some money, and and I was I was looking for for things where I can have as much free time as possible, but still make enough money to survive. It was really exciting for me to learn all of this, and and my biggest motivation was to just be able to go for a winter to some warm countries. So so yeah, that that's what I was that's what I was aiming for, and and then and then so to get back to what I was saying that it was really easy to create magnetic couples bracelets, but at those five years in Prague, like I always tried or wanted to create something and it was just not happening, and it was really not easy like to do those things on Amazon and everything. It was just yeah, it was really challenging for me to to do that, and there were like always some hiccups and issues and problems, and something was not working, and this was not working. And basically, the reason why I stopped selling things on Amazon was that the entire order of I think thousand products or whatever I was ordering at the time, like the the the the the people in China they made some kind of mistake, and the all the pro like a product like I would say 70 or 80 percent of the products will were like defected, yeah, defected. That's what I wanted to say. And and like once like you have like big return rate on Amazon, like like you just it all goes to shit. Like you basically need to remove all the products and bring new ones, and you know, I couldn't just trust that company anymore. And it was just like I was just like fuck that shit, you know, like this is not worth it. Yeah, but then but you learned what you needed to, yeah, of course. Like, yeah, yeah. I mean, I learned the whole process and it was amazing, honestly. Like it was it was the my first or maybe my second business that I tried to do, first online business that I tried to do, and it was it was amazing, but like I said, it was really challenging compared to what we did with Magnetic Apples Brestas because that was just like for me, it was like really easy and it was magical, really fast, and and yeah, and basically, so we started the store in mid of September, and then in two months we already made more money than we invested in two months ago, and and then on the third month we basically moved to Bali because uh I don't know, we yeah, we made another like whatever ten thousand or something, and and it was amazing because um suddenly we could go somewhere and and we we yeah, and then we continued like working on it from there. But it was really nice, so yeah, that it was really great.
SPEAKER_02I see it like you in Prague going through all of your lessons you needed to go through. Yeah. Me in Dubai going through my lessons I needed to go through, and then those two magnas, and it was the right time, right constellation, or whatever something we don't even comprehend because, like, what the fuck is life, right? They just got together and created this. It's fucking insanely perfect, it's a miracle of life. I don't know, it's like I'm so passionate about this.
SPEAKER_00And it's also cool to say that basically, like we went to that first date on a lake in July, right?
SPEAKER_02July 11th.
SPEAKER_00And then basically in two months from that, right? Yes, we already had a business together. So it was really cool. Yeah, but it didn't felt like that to be honest, because we really weird, yeah. Because we really in those two months, like if you think about it, that we literally like spent I don't know, 14 hours every day together or even more, then it it just didn't felt like that, and we talked all the time.
SPEAKER_02It wasn't like No, we were like one person, yeah. We were like glued together, like those magnets are, yeah. And that's exactly also what I love to say. Like that connection, we created first, allowed us, or I believe that's how I see it, allowed us to be ready to take the next step and be like, okay, yeah, this is what we want. You know, it was all like a perfectly synchronized journey from the nine days we spoke to the Croatia, where we're like, oh my god, we're having so much fun. On the road, that's like a summary of also previous podcasts. If you didn't listen, you can go listen to it. But then on the road or the way back to Slovakia from Croatia, we decided that okay, we're gonna create something together. In two weeks we moved in together, and in like three weeks we had the business ready. So, like when it's meant to be, it will be, no matter what you do. And this is something I want you guys to take away from this because I we have five more minutes, but I just wanna add this kind of like my observation or perception of this, you know. Like if I don't know, I forgot.
SPEAKER_00Something is meant to be.
SPEAKER_02If something's meant to be, it will happen. No matter how much you try or how much you resist, it's almost like you now say you can't choose is very nuanced perspective on life that you can't really like do anything wrong. Maybe that's where I would like this to take this because for a long time I thought I'm doing things wrong, but actually there's no wrong and there's no right. Things just are. And I think whatever action you take and whatever next step you take that you are called to, you can't get it wrong. Something will come out of it, maybe not what you think it will. We had no idea this is what would be happening. We were just kind of taking the next step. Oh, we're going to Croatia.
SPEAKER_00I think you had more idea than me.
SPEAKER_02Of what?
SPEAKER_00Like when we created the magnetic couples bracelet, like you like when we talk about it, like you always said that like your goal was to make income so you don't have to go to Dubai anymore.
SPEAKER_02Obviously, because I was still on this break from Dubai. I kept still working for the company. Even when the event started, I was already in Bali. And in February, I had to tell them I'm not coming back to Dubai. It was really hard for me because I didn't know how to handle it in a way because I wanted to keep working for them, but I was remote and even I have to be there to supervise. But like my clients still agreed that it's okay. I will I can manage from far away, and I kind of managed it until it was like time. I think for the next nine months, I think September 2021, I was still working remotely as a uh project manager for the event company until we decided that okay, it's not really going anywhere. But it was great because it still kept me kind of like feeling safe until I really believed in the business. And after one year it was going amazing, and I felt like okay, it's scary, but I'm done. Thank you guys. And then I became just uh my own business owner, and it was like but it worked until now. Well, but not like worked, it's been a fucking journey, let me tell you that. So, yeah, when it's meant to be, it will be, and this ease and the speed with which we were able to like launch all of our life, all of our dreams to make them come true. It almost feels like crazy looking back. That's the power of life.
SPEAKER_00I think that's the power of internet as well, and of selling online, because anything that you launch online, basically you can make a million dollars overnight. Yeah, it is possible. It is, I think it is really the easiest way how to do any business these days because like if you think about any like if you think about any place where we go for food, you know, just like how many people go around, just around, so they can possibly walk in every day, you know, or these stores where we see like where people go and buy something. It's just it's just so little compared to how many people can see your website from just one video, let's say, that you create.
SPEAKER_02So it's like we had the viral reel. 75 million people in like two months saw it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02The reel that we made with the magnetic family bracelets that we also designed and created for people because the customers were like, but we have a kid as well. We want to connect not only as parents, but also with the kid. So we created for three, four, and five people the bracelets is beautiful, it's like four hearts and three hearts and five hearts connected into one. And um, when we made the video four seconds long with our friends Matjus and Alex, then it went viral within like months, two months, we had 75 million views, and that's the power of the internet, right? Yeah, and you know what? I would actually like to finish here because I have a call in six minutes, but I want to say something. So I want to like a recap this episode. In this episode, again, we covered just like three weeks or like maybe more of our journey, and it was more focused on the business that we created that allowed us to have this freedom and live wherever we want in the world. We lived in Bali, then Slovakia, now Vietnam. We basically we wake up and we decide what to do, whether I go to the pool or we go for breakfast or have a coffee and then record a podcast or work on the laptop or whatever we want to do. This is what it allowed us to do. It gave us time and it kind of like been sponsoring our evolution and growth as individuals and as a couple. So this is what we covered today. However, something else has been happening behind the scenes, and that's what I would like to actually speak about in the next episode. And that's my mental health issues. It's something I really want to speak about. Maybe I can even do the episode alone, but I would love to do it with you because you also have a really powerful perspective on it. So I'll just say before I finish before we finish that as this all started happening, we started to build a business, I started to have like emotional sensitivity, and I started to cry five times per day, and I was really shocked like what is happening. So it was two months into our relationship when something started happening with me, something that continued probably until now, and now I have more of understanding what it had what it was and what was started in my psyche and my human being person, but it was a huge test for us, and that's when also the intensity of our relationship basically started. So maybe I want to say the technical part, the business part, the action part, it was easy, but something else started to be hard, and it also it was our or my emotional state.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02And with that, I'm going to do the cleave hanger, like in a Netflix episode, and now everybody will like all those three people who are watching.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, where's the next episode?
SPEAKER_02Oh, 11 people watched my first episode. Thank you guys. Oh my god, how to handle fame, paparazzi. Oh no, no, no, we all love you. One of them is my friend, and maybe three of them is me, but no, it's not. Uh I'm just kidding. The best product doesn't count my own views. So, yeah, I think 100% because it shows where it's from. It was Oregon, Virginia, it's not me there was no I didn't even have VPN at that point.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_02So it's not cheating. Yeah, so thank you for listening and tuning into today's episode. I had an amazing time.
SPEAKER_00Thank you.
SPEAKER_02And I look forward to the next one. It's going really slow. But you know, I always wanted to do this to have our story. Like, dude, like already two two years ago, we had a call to as Magnetic Apple's bracelets as a company to sponsor what's his name? Uh, Danny Morrell and his wife Jenny. They have a podcast called You said they don't have it anymore. I think they started again two months ago.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02They had and have a podcast called The One or How to Find the One or Be the One. I don't know. And they also actually go through their relationship there and speak about the lessons. And I'm like, and but actually, I had this idea way before. It was 2024, and I wanted to do it. That's when I created our podcast, uh, Connection Unlocked. Oh my god, so many podcasts I created. Connection Unlocked, New Earth Couples. Oh my god, so many. And that was just us together. And then uh I I ended up creating like You think it's still the one podcast that you just renamed four times? Yeah, you see it differently, but I see like evolution, and now it's what is life? What you're listening to, and you are still in it. So it's again meant to be, you know what I mean? Things take time. He also needed to go through this opening up to this possibility and being actually okay with speaking up and being public, right?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I guess.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I have calling two minutes, no pressure. You wanna say something?
SPEAKER_00No, I feel like you already said bye-bye, so no, you have space, baby. No, I'm okay. I just yeah, you already said bye-bye and then you start a new topic.
SPEAKER_02So Oh, yeah, that's on me. ADHD podcaster. Anyways, so subscribe, like, and comment, follow, rate this podcast. I still don't know how to do it myself, but if you do, please do it. It will really help us to push it out. And again, as always, what are we living with? What are you living with from this podcast or from this conversation that was recorded?
SPEAKER_00Do you really want to know? Yes. On a camera?
SPEAKER_02Yes.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so what I'm leaving is that I would like for the next time, when you talk about some part of the life, then give me space to also me talk about that part of my life because I feel like I'm not complete. Like you said so much, and I feel like I have so much to say about those parts of my life as well. But I feel like I did not have space. So that's one thing that I'm leaving with. And another thing that I'm leaving with is that I wanna, even though maybe you don't need that, but I wanna write at least like three things for the next podcast or whatever, like we will go. Like, let's say that we will be speaking about like Christmas time and how we move to Bali or whatever will be the next thing. So I wanna just write like three things that stood out for me at that time, and I wanna be talking about those three things.
SPEAKER_02You want structure?
SPEAKER_00No, I just want reminder, like what is there because I feel like that there's so much, like now I see like 300 days or 100 days from let's say we started the business until we moved to Bali. It was like 150 days, 130 days, or whatever. And there's like so much that happened in those days, and there's so much I can talk about. So I wanna just have like three things or four things that I could talk about, and then if I go through one, okay, if I go through three, I go through three, it's fine. But I wanna have them written so I can hold on to something and not just you know be like, okay, what I'm gonna say. I'm gonna say this or this, you know. So that's that's what I'm leaving with.
SPEAKER_02Thank you for sharing. I take this as a constructive criticism. I have been editing our second podcast, and I could see this, so I will, you know, this is also a learning curve and evolution. So I will I will do that for you and I will do my best to do it. I'm leaving with the fact that it's just not enough time. I already am late for the call, and I feel I feel pressure to finish, and it doesn't feel good. So I'm leaving with a lesson that I we I need open time to do this. I don't I don't want to have like okay, we have this much time. Because like that's not natural, you know. I felt so aware of the time, and it was just like not really I don't know, free. I didn't feel freedom. Normally, when I speak, I feel freedom. I don't need even the points and like but now I felt like pressure, so that's what I'm living with. But I'm leaving it also like it's so nice to speak about it and have this time with you. So I'm really grateful.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, I'm also grateful.
SPEAKER_02So thank you guys for watching because I think there's video if you didn't go into full storage. Thank you for listening, and we will see you or hear you and speak to you and have a coffee with you, and you know, or a glass of wine, or wash dishes, or vacuum your house in the next episode. Ciao ciao!
SPEAKER_00Bye.
